    How (and Why!) to Use Argan Oil for Skin Care

    Sometimes when people decide to start using all-natural skin care products, it can take a little time to find “the right one.”

    That makes sense—everyone’s skin is different.

    And that’s why I’m so excited about today’s blog post. I want to tell as many people as possible about using argan oil for skin care!

    Argan Aloe Face Wash

    I love making my own soap with all natural ingredients . . . but I don’t always like to use soap on my face.

    As nourishing as it is, it can still leave my face feeling a little too dried out. (And this doesn’t even touch on the way store-bought soaps can affect my skin! I avoid them altogether.)

While in Morocco at the IFEAT conference, I listened to a wonderful lecture by Professor Saadia Zrira, a Moroccan woman responsible for launching the first female cooperative of women producing argan oil in Morocco. Professor Zrira’s concentration is the technology of extraction, quality control and women’s issues. As you can imagine, I sat in the front row while she talked! Her interest is in discovering sustainable solutions to poverty and environmental concerns in rural Morocco through the cultivation of indigenous plants and the production of oils.
