The Power of Natural Butters and Essential Oils in Alleviating Joint Pain

Oftentimes, joint pain can intensify during quiet moments of rest, making it even more insidious.

But fear not! A natural and effective solution may already be at your fingertips - remarkable butters and essential oils that can help alleviate joint pain. Topping the chart among these is a wonder from Africa, the kombo butter.

Kombo butter boasts a deep, reddish-brown hue and an oily, grainy texture. Despite its initial coarse texture, it effortlessly melts against your skin when massaged in. Its unique property of reducing inflammation makes it a potent remedy for joint pain. The effectiveness of kombo butter is such that many individuals incorporate it into their daily routine, using specially prepared blends as their trusted natural relief for joint discomfort.

Kombo Joint Relief Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 oz (14 g) Beeswax (Cera flava)

  • 1 oz (28 g) Kombo Butter (Pycnanthus angolensis)

  • 1 oz (28 g) Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii)

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Jojoba Wax (Simmondsia chinensis)

  • 14 drops Juniper essential oil (Juniperus communis)

  • 14 drops Gingergrass essential oil (Cymbopogon martinii var. sofia)

  • 27 drops Black Spruce essential oil (Picea mariana)

  • 17 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil (Chamaemelum nobile)

You'll need a 4 oz (120 ml) jar for this blend.

Directions:

  1. Follow the Stovetop Melting Method for this blend. Place a 4 oz (120 ml) Pyrex measuring cup in a soup pot that is ¼ full of gently boiling water.

  2. Start by melting the beeswax in the Pyrex, followed by the jojoba, adding each ingredient sequentially and allowing it to melt completely before adding the next. Once the beeswax and jojoba are melted and mixed, add the kombo butter, then the shea butter, stirring gently after each addition.

  3. As soon as the shea butter is melted, remove the blend from the heat and stir in the essential oils. Pour the melted blend into your 4 oz (120 ml) jar and let it cool.

  4. After cooling, your Essential Kombo Joint Relief Butter is ready to be massaged into those aching joints. Embrace the newfound freedom of movement and indulge in those activities that were previously hindered by joint pain!
