A Holiday Diffuser Blend that Smells Festive AND Reduces Germs!

Happy Holidays!

This is a great time of year to find ways to let our hearts be filled up.

Whether you're going to parties, exchanging gifts, or taking a few quiet evenings for yourself, there's always something to be grateful for.

There's also something you might not be so grateful for ... something that people sometimes share during the holidays, whether they want to or not ...

Germs!

Unfortunately, the holiday season is a common time that people's immune systems can take a hit. Sniffles and sneezes are pretty common.

Let's make a holiday diffuser blend that can help neutralize germs in the air!

This way, we can help everyone stay healthy.

We can use foresty conifer essential oils, warm spices, and citruses. That will make it both festive and healthy.

This is a stock blend. I'm blending the essential oils in a 5 ml amber bottle, and when I want to diffuse, I'll use about 5 or 6 drops at a time.

This holiday diffuser blend has about 4 ml of essential oil in it—roughly 100 drops. That means you'll get anywhere from 15-20 diffusing sessions from it! (You may want to schedule a few more parties at your place ...)

Holiday Diffuser Stock Blend

Diffuse to help neutralize germs in the air.
Ingredients
Equipment
Directions
  • Combine the essential oils in a 5ml glass bottle to make the stock blend.

  • Tighten the cap to snap the orifice reducer into place.
(The orifice reducer is what lets you get one drop at a time out of the bottle.)

  • Add 5 or 6 drops of the stock blend to your diffuser.

A note about substitutions:

If you don't have clove bud essential oil, you can substitute Cardamom oil (Elettaria cardamomum)

If you don't have one of the conifers . . . you really can substitute ANY of the other conifer essential oils and still create a gorgeous, immune-boosting holiday diffuser blend. Try Black Spruce oil (Picea mariana), Piñon Pine oil (Pinus edulis), or Sitka Spruce oil (Picea sitchensis

Looking for a last-minute Aromatherapy gift for someone?

A holiday diffuser blend would be a great idea!

And if the person you're giving to doesn't have a diffuser, you can make this blend in a room spray instead.

  • First, make your stock blend.

  • Next, combine 1oz (30ml) of water, 2ml Solubol (dispersant), and 12 drops of the stock blend.
(The Solubol will help keep the essential oils dispersed through the water.)

  • Then put the blend into a 1 oz (30 ml) spray bottle and shake well.

Ta-da! Holiday room spray!

Shake the room spray each time before using it.

Enjoy!
