Your 2-Step System: Naturally Get Rid of Acne with Essential Oils and Aromatherapy
When I think of the fun things in life, acne comes nowhere near the top of the list.
It’s not on the list at all!
Neither is trying to get rid of acne with medications, or other substances that can irritate skin, or have side effects . . . and sometimes even make the acne worse.
I want to show you how you CAN actually get rid of acne with essential oils!
There are all-natural methods that don’t involve harsh chemicals or medications. They’re gentle on skin, and soothe inflammation while reducing bacteria that can cause acne.
I’m going to share two recipes with you today.
You can find the first on this YouTube video:
It’s a blend made in aloe vera gel, with Patchouli, Lavender, Tea Tree, and Lemon essential oils.
The second recipe to get rid of acne is also on a YouTube video, but I’m going to share the full recipe with you here, too.
This recipe actually does not include any essential oils at all.
The skin on our faces can be very sensitive. That’s one reason it is so vulnerable to things like acne and irritation in the first place. We don’t always need such highly concentrated substances as essential oils directly on our faces. (Even if they are blended into aloe.)
This recipe is a refreshing, inflammation calming, bacteria reducing hydrosol spritz that helps get rid of acne naturally.
It’s gentle enough for our faces, and even for the super-sensitive skin of little babies and children.
Are you thinking, “Andrea, that sounds great . . . but what is a hydrosol?”
Hydrosols are created during the same distillation process that gives us essential oils.
The still is filled with plant material and water, then it is heated until the plant releases its essential oil. And in that process, the water itself becomes infused with some of the plant’s therapeutic properties.
That is a hydrosol!
Get Rid of Acne Naturally! A Nourishing Hydrosol Recipe
- 1 oz (30 ml) Frankincense hydrosol (Boswellia carterii)
- 1 oz (30 ml) German Chamomile hydrosol (Matricaria recutita)
Make this blend in a 2 oz (60 ml) glass spray bottle.
All you have to do is fill the bottle halfway with Frankincense hydrosol, and the rest of the way with German Chamomile hydrosol. You don’t even have to measure!
Use it as a spritz anywhere you want to get rid of acne. It is so gentle, you can use it as much as you need.
I suggest using the aloe blend from the first YouTube video after you wash your face, and then using the hydrosol spritz as needed to keep your skin calm, moisturized, and bacteria-free throughout the day.
I know that dealing with acne can be frustrating—and I am so sorry.
Some people do experience relief with medications. But if that is not you, I want to reassure you that it’s possible to get rid of acne with essential oils and Aromatherapy.
Be sure to care for yourself as you find what works for you, and as you heal. Drink plenty of water, eat nourishing foods that your skin loves, and give yourself all the sleep your body is asking for.
