What is Grapefruit Essential Oil Good For?

Oct 3 2019 - Youtube -Title -grapefruit essential oil- 1280 x 720 - V1

Welcome to paradise! This post is all about what Grapefruit essential oil is good for!

Grapefruit essential oil’s Latin name is Citrus paradisi.

And I am not surprised! Grapefruit essential oil is good for helping us feel happy, vibrant, alert, and healthy.

Think of those people who just light up a room when they come in. They always seem to be in a good mood, and they’re able to share that good mood with everybody else. Grapefruit essential oil is like that—it seems to turn any room it enters into paradise!

The essential oil is cold pressed from the rind of the fresh fruit.

If you scrape your nail over the rind of a Grapefruit and then take a deep sniff of it, what you’re smelling is actually the essential oil that’s held in the rind.

Grapefruit essential oil is good for making a room spray that can fill your space with gorgeous, sparkling citrus aroma.

And thanks to the natural component “d-limonene” that’s present in Grapefruit essential oil, this room spritz also helps to reduce germs and support immunity. (Nobody gets sick in paradise!)

Citrus Paradise Room Spritz

  • 1 oz (30 ml) water
  • 5 drops Grapefruit essential oil (Citrus paradisi)
  • 1 drop Geranium essential oil (Pelargonium × asperum)

Make this blend in a 1 oz (30 ml) glass bottle with a spray top.

Combine the water and essential oils, shake well, and spray it all around your room.

If you prefer to use a solubol/dispersant in your spray, simply add 4 drops of solubol per 1 drop of essential oil.

Grapefruit essential oil is good for creating a bright, welcoming scent when you’re having friends over. (Grapefruit is a great house guest!) But you can use it anytime, of course.

I do suggest making a fresh bottle of this every few weeks, since it is a water-based blend and not made with a preservative.

Grapefruit essential oil is good for more than making your room smell amazing.

I also love it for natural cleaning, immune support, helping me breathe clearly if I have a cold, and even preventing colds altogether.

I trust Grapefruit for these purposes thanks to the research we have about it.

As a teacher, I am a big fan of research! I base all of the information in Aromahead Institute’s classes on science.

This includes our FREE class, Introduction to Essential Oils.
