Ginger essential oil is good for digestion, nausea, and natural pain relief. It's important to use Ginger SAFELY in a blend.

Ginger essential oil has a lot of talents.

And it's pretty famous for them, too! For example, a lot of people know that Ginger essential oil is good for supporting digestion. (You can use it in a belly cream after a big meal.)

Another benefit Ginger essential oil is good for is easing nausea. (Just a drop or two added to an Aromatherapy inhaler can calm those feelings of queasiness in your belly.)

Did you know that Ginger essential oil is good for natural pain relief, too?

Ginger is actually one of my favorite essential oils for this!

It is so highly concentrated, so strong, that just a few drops are enough to reduce inflammation. Ginger essential oil likes to encourage circulation and bring warmth to areas where it's applied, so it's a great choice if you want to decrease swelling, too.

Just be sure not to "go overboard" when you're using Ginger essential oil—like I mentioned, it is potent!

Here's how to use Ginger essential oil in a blend that's good for different kinds of pain relief. Whether you're dealing with sore muscles, aching joints, the tension in your neck and shoulders, or another kind of pain, this is a GREAT blend to have around!

Here's a video with great information and blending!

A Little Help from Ginger!

The perfect body oil for different types of pain relief.

Ingredients
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Trauma Oil

  • 4 drops Cardamom essential oil (Elettaria cardamomum)

  • 4 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil (Chamaemelum nobile)

  • 3 drops Ginger essential oil (Zingiber officinale)

  • 3 drops Peppermint essential oil (Mentha x piperita)

Equipment
  • One 1 oz (30 ml) amber glass bottle with a coned cap

Directions
  • Make this blend in a 1 oz (30 ml) glass bottle.

  • Combine the Trauma Oil and essential oils in the bottle and shake gently.

I chose to use Trauma Oil as the carrier for this blend because it is so amazing for pain relief all by itself!

Trauma Oil is simply a carrier (often olive oil) that's infused with three herbs: arnica, St. John's wort, and calendula.

If you don't have Trauma Oil, you can use 1 oz (30 ml) jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) instead. But I really think you are going to love the Trauma Oil! It also offers some nourishment to the skin, which is so helpful when our blend includes several spicy, minty essential oils that are so highly concentrated.

Speaking of strong oils . . . did you notice that I only used 3 drops of Ginger essential oil in this pain relief blend?

That's the perfect amount of Ginger here. More could actually overwhelm the other essential oils.

Now you know a few issues that Ginger essential oil is good for!

And you have an important tip for blending with it safely: a few drops go a long way!
