The knee pain relief blend recipe I'm about to share fits the bill!

First, I want to tell you about the essential oils in this blend, so you know how they'll work for you.

Here are 5 essential oils for knee pain.

See if you can recognize what these oils have in common, which helps them work in synergy to create a beautiful, effective knee pain blend.

Roman Chamomile - This essential oil calms inflammation and helps muscles and joints gently release tension and pain. It is a very emotionally soothing oil with a sweet floral, fruity aroma that makes it popular in bedtime blends.

Lavender - One of the most well-known essential oils for emotional relaxation and physical pain relief! Lavender soothes inflammation in muscles and joints and supports the body's natural healing processes.

Sweet Orange - Sweet Orange has a warm, familiar, fruity aroma. This oil's fantastic ability to calm inflammation surprises some, but it's one of my favorite essential oils for knee pain! It's also used for decreasing swelling.

Palmarosa - A floral, slightly herbal oil distilled from grass. Palmarosa reduces inflammation and cares for the skin. It's often used in blends to relieve pain, calm anxiety, and cool heat from a warm, injured area.

Ylang Ylang - Ylang Ylang has a heavy floral aroma that can deeply relax the nervous system. It helps calm inflammation and creates an overall sense of safety, gently coaxing the mind to release worry and the body to release tension.

Did you catch the commonalities? All 5 essential oils for knee pain have been researched and proven to be good at calming inflammation (which means they can ease pain and reduce swelling in joints) and relaxing the nervous system. They also happen to be gentle on the skin. They're all perfect for a nighttime knee pain relief blend!

Nighttime Knee Pain Relief Blend with Essential Oils

  • 1 fl oz (30 ml) Jojoba Wax (Simmondsia chinensis)

  • 5 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil (Chamaemelum mobile)

  • 5 drops Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia)

  • 3 drops Sweet Orange essential oil (Citrus sinensis)

  • 3 drops Palmarosa essential oil (Cymbopogon martinii motia)

  • 2 drops Ylang Ylang essential oils (Cananga odorata)

Make this blend in a 1 oz (30 ml) amber glass bottle. 

Combine the jojoba and essential oils, and shake well. Rub a generous amount into your knees at night when you go to bed. 

If your knees wake you up in the middle of the night, you can use more of this blend. You might find that using it over a period of time has better effects on you than if you apply it once.
