I want to share a diffuser blend that I created for my book, The Heart of Aromatherapy. It’s called Orange’s “Sweet Retreat” Diffuser Blend.
I created both adults’ and kids’ versions of every recipe in The Heart of Aromatherapy. I like to use less essential oil for kids, because their systems tend to be smaller and more sensitive than grown-ups’. Using too much essential oil might get overwhelming for them.
This is the kids’ version of Orange’s “Sweet Retreat” Diffuser Blend!
- 2 drops Gingergrass (Cymbopogon martinii sofia)
- 2 drops Orange (Citrus sinensis)
- 1 drop Geranium (Pelargonium × asperum)
You can use this diffuser blend whenever you want to help calm anxiety with essential oils.
Sweet Orange is such a friendly, soothing oil that in The Heart of Aromatherapy, I imagined it would have a peaceful house in the middle of a fruit orchard. (Wouldn’t you like to bring the kids there and let them play all day among the fruit trees? And then see them slip off to sleep peacefully at night? What a sweet dream!)
