In 2015, Aromahead Graduate Melissa Clymer found out she had a tumor in her liver. (So scary!)
It was very painful for Melissa, and she decided to have the tumor surgically removed.
After the procedure, the doctors tested the growth—which turned out to be the size of a small melon. When they had the results, they delivered the good news to Melissa. It was benign!
That was a huge relief for Melissa, but she was still in a lot of pain, and knew that her road to recovery would be long and uncomfortable.
Melissa knew a little about essential oils, so although she was not a Certified Aromatherapist, she was able to use the oils to support herself through the healing process, both physically and emotionally.
When you are going through a time of trials and pain, and something is there to offer you much-needed support and help you get through it . . . it’s understandable that you’d form a deeper relationship with that “something.”
For Melissa, that “something” was essential oils. She realized they had so much deep, natural healing potential. Melissa knew that she wanted to share her story with the world, and to become a Certified Aromatherapist.
She said, “I knew in my heart I could help so many people who were suffering needlessly.”
Melissa reached out to people like Massage Therapists, inquiring about essential oil education and seeking information about becoming a Certified Aromatherapist. That’s when she stumbled on Aromahead Institute’s website and fell in love.
“I instantly knew this was the place I needed to be. I loved all the teachers, the videos were great, and I learned so much. It became an obsession.”
She’s not exaggerating, Melissa jumped in and finished her Aromatherapy Certification Program quickly!
And Melissa didn’t stop there. She continued her studies to complete the full Scholar’s Program at Aromahead. (The Scholar’s Program includes the Aromatherapy Certification Program, the Advanced Graduate Program for even more in-depth info about essential oils and chemistry, and 40 hours of electives—such as Body Butters & Lip Balms or Aromatherapy for Natural Living.)
Wow, talk about a passion for learning!
Since she graduated the Aromatherapy Certification Program, Melissa has started her own Aromatherapy business, Sweet Willow Spirit Aromatherapy.
It allows her to use her experience and her in-depth knowledge of essential oils to help others. She teaches classes on safe essential oil use at a local community college, offers private consultations for individuals, and sells essential oils, ready-made blends, Aromatherapy products, and more on her business website.
Melissa’s story is humbling and inspiring to me . . . It was so scary in the beginning, and ultimately sent her on a new path to support others with natural healing.
