Natural Refreshment: Peppermint Leaves in Water

by Andrea Butje on June 07, 2010

Peppermint leaves in waterPeppermint leaves in water?

Trust me, it is so simple and so delicious. Just a few peppermint leaves in a glass of water can brighten the whole experience of drinking water!

I usually just walk out to my garden and pick a few leaves, but we haven't had the chance to start our gardens in Ithaca yet. (Yup, construction is still going...) A friend gave me some peppermint from her garden, and I put it on the kitchen windowsill along with a basil and dill plant, so I am still able to enjoy fresh herbs while we wait for the construction to end and the gardening to begin!

Do you have any favorite ways to flavor water naturally?
